Jak se stát sestřičkou

Zdravotní sestrou se v Česku nestanete bez příslušného vzdělání a registrace — žádná zkratka neexistuje. Standardní cestou je studium ošetřovatelství na vyšší odborné nebo vysoké škole zakončené získáním odborné způsobilosti. Bez splnění kvalifikace nelze samostatně pečovat o pacienty.

1. Vysoká škola (ošetřovatelství)

Standardní cesta: bakalářské studium oboru Všeobecná sestra na vysoké škole, jehož významnou část tvoří odborná praxe. Dává odbornou způsobilost k výkonu povolání a otevírá další specializace (intenzivní péče, sálová praxe) v navazujícím studiu.

2. Vyšší odborná škola

Studium diplomované všeobecné sestry na vyšší odborné škole (VOŠ) je rovnocennou cestou ke kvalifikaci. Spojuje teorii s rozsáhlou odbornou praxí a vede ke stejné odborné způsobilosti jako vysokoškolské studium.

3. Uznání zahraniční kvalifikace

Pokud jste studovala v zahraničí, počítejte s procesem uznání kvalifikace: posouzení vzdělání, případnou aprobační zkoušku a doložení znalosti češtiny, než budete moci povolání vykonávat.

Od začátku počítejte s tím, že povolání je regulované: vyberte si akreditovaný obor (vysoká nebo vyšší odborná škola), absolvujte povinnou odbornou praxi a získejte odbornou způsobilost. U zahraničního vzdělání plánujte jeho uznání. Bez splnění kvalifikace nelze jako sestra pracovat.
