Jak se stát psychologem
Abyste mohli v Česku pracovat jako psycholog, potřebujete vysokoškolské vzdělání v psychologii — to je základ profese a předpoklad pro praxi. Na rozdíl od psychiatra není psycholog lékař a nepředepisuje léky. Po dokončení studia se odborníci dále vzdělávají v konkrétní aplikované oblasti (například akreditovaný výcvik).
1. Vysokoškolské studium psychologie
Hlavní a nezbytná cesta je magisterské vysokoškolské studium psychologie (zpravidla bakalář a navazující magistr). Pokrývá teorie osobnosti, metody diagnostiky a základy psychologické praxe a je předpokladem pro další specializaci.
2. Specializační a výcvikové programy
Po vysoké škole následuje akreditovaný výcvik či specializační vzdělávání v konkrétní oblasti — pro klinickou psychologii specializační vzdělávání ve zdravotnictví, případně programy pro psychoterapii, školní, forenzní či pracovní psychologii. Trvá několik let a vede k odborné způsobilosti k samostatné práci.
Rychlá cesta neexistuje: kariéra psychologa začíná vysokoškolským studiem psychologie, bez něhož praktikovat nelze. Poté následuje několik let dalšího vzdělávání a praxe pod supervizí, u klinické psychologie i specializační vzdělávání ve zdravotnictví. Vzdělávání a supervize pokračují po celou kariéru.
