Chi è geometra

A land surveyor determines the precise coordinates of objects on the Earth's surface. He works on various sites, ranging from buildings to highways. The land surveyor visits the field and, using specialized equipment, measures distances, angles, and elevations. By employing theodolites, levels, and GPS devices, he collects data that accurately defines the position of structures and land boundaries. After gathering the data, the land surveyor processes the information, performing mathematical calculations. He creates cartographic materials that visualize all the collected measurements. These materials serve as the foundation for various projects, from urban planning to environmental studies. The land surveyor often collaborates with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure data accuracy. He participates in developing projects by verifying the precision of plans and drawings. This helps prevent errors during construction and ensures the quality of the work performed.Additionally, the land surveyor monitors changes in the terrain, tracking shifts or deformations. He can investigate areas for scientific purposes or assess environmental risks. His work provides the basis for the safe and effective use of natural resources and territories.

Orario di lavoro e condizioni

A land surveyor typically works 8 hours a day. The main days off are Saturday and Sunday. The job often combines office hours and fieldwork. Remote work is limited, as the specialist needs to be on-site for measurements. Working in various weather conditions is common. There may be work in mountains or construction sites, requiring physical activity.

2. Formazione tecnica e ITS

3. Corsi specialistici

Corsi brevi su GIS (QGIS, AutoCAD), uso di ricevitori GNSS e stazioni totali (1-3 mesi) sviluppano rapidamente competenze pratiche. Adatti a chi cambia mestiere o lavora già in un campo affine.

4. Praticantato e tirocinio
