Come diventare un ingegnere di test
Si può diventare ingegnere di test senza laurea: ai datori di lavoro interessano soprattutto le competenze pratiche. Servono i fondamenti del testing, dei casi di test e degli strumenti di tracciamento dei bug, oltre a una conoscenza di base di SQL e delle API. La via più rapida è un corso mirato di QA o un bootcamp; la certificazione ISTQB è un plus utile ma non obbligatoria.
1. Corso o bootcamp di QA
Un corso intensivo di QA manuale o un bootcamp può portare da principiante a livello junior in 2-4 mesi, coprendo casi di test, segnalazioni di bug, lavoro con le API e le basi dell'automazione. È il modo più rapido per entrare nel mercato.
2. Tirocinio senza esperienza
Molte aziende informatiche assumono tester alle prime armi e li formano sul lavoro. Si costruiscono competenze pratiche, un portfolio e le prime referenze, e i tirocini spesso si trasformano in ruoli stabili.
3. Laurea
Una laurea in informatica o ingegneria del software dà una comprensione più profonda di algoritmi e architettura del software e aiuta a passare all'automazione dei test. È la via più lunga e non è richiesta per entrare nella professione.
Il modo più rapido per iniziare è un corso breve di QA o un tirocinio che forma sul posto; la laurea si può conseguire in parallelo o più tardi. Una certificazione ISTQB rafforza il curriculum ma non è una condizione per essere assunti. Da lì si cresce con l'esperienza e il passaggio all'automazione.
