2. Short course

A process-operations short course covers the basics of the process, running the equipment, dosing reagents and health and safety (including COSHH). It's a quick, legitimate way into the job.

3. Process-operations apprenticeship or FE college

An apprenticeship or a relevant course at an FE college gives broader chemical/process theory and practice plus a recognised qualification, helping you progress to higher-grade operator or technician roles.
