Occupations with Basic life support

Professionals with basic life support (BLS) skills are trained to provide immediate, life-saving care to individuals experiencing cardiac arrest or breathing emergencies. They can quickly assess a person’s condition, perform chest compressions to keep blood flowing, and deliver rescue breaths to maintain oxygen levels until advanced medical help arrives. These individuals are equipped to use automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to restore a normal heart rhythm when needed. Their actions significantly increase a person’s chance of survival during critical moments. BLS-trained personnel are essential in workplaces, schools, and public spaces where emergencies can occur without warning.
